endarken: A Chrome Add-on for Darkening Websites
endarken is a free Chrome add-on developed by Imuli that allows users to invert the luminosity of websites, making them significantly darker. With endarken, users can enjoy a more visually comfortable browsing experience, especially in low-light environments.
As an alpha version, endarken does have some limitations. There may be instances where images on websites are not displayed correctly. However, to easily revert a tab to its original state, users can simply click on the endarken browser icon.
It is important to note that endarken relies on an experimental web platform feature called the CSS property backdrop-filter. Upon installation, endarken will prompt users to enable this feature.
